April Events

The Arise and Shine Forth Challenge
  • Keep reading and praying daily! Please ask the young women--Has a new habit been formed? Have you had any experiences as you have felt the spirit in your lives?

March 31 YCL Camp Meeting at the Stake Center 9am-10:15

April 1 General Conference

April 5-7 Stake Youth Conference
  • Attached you will find a detailed schedule of the events that will take place. Please forward this to all the youth, parents and ward youth leaders.
There are four different sessions. The schedule provides information on the location, time and dress for each of the following sessions:
1) Thursday evening,
2) Friday morning & afternoon,
3) Friday evening and
4) Saturday.
  • Please send any pictures that you have taken with your Ward Youth Groups to Leanne at drlauck@comcast.net. These will be used in the decorations, and she would like them ASAP.
  • Please communicate to parents/youth that they arrive at the designated location a few minutes early and are picked up at the scheduled time.
The Friday morning and afternoon activities will end at 2:30 pm. The youth will need to return home to clean-up and change. The Friday evening session starts at 5:00 pm at the Stake Center. This should be enough time for most of the youth; however, if you don't feel 2.5 hours is enough time (Waller and Spring Branch) let us know and we'll coordinate host families closer to the Stake Center that the youth can use to change.
All of the sessions will be held at the Stake Center except for the Friday morning and afternoon session. This will be held at the Cy-Fair Nature Trails and Millsap Elementary school. A map is provided on the schedule.

Attached is the registration spreadsheet as of Thursday morning. We used this to place the tee shirt order. Please note that the youth can continue to register at (http://ctslds.com). We ordered a few extra shirts for late registrants and will do our best to accommodate everyone that wants to attend.
  • Each ward will be assigned to run one of the outdoor games on Firday afternoon. Diana Gunderson is contacting each ward with instructions. These are simple games that shouldn't require too much preparation. The games will be repeated on a rotating basis throughout the afternoon. Diana is also asking each ward to help her by bringing 30 water balloons (YM Leaders) and 30 "Texas Snowballs" (YW leaders). You should have received the instsructions from Diana previously.
